“I have played for the club for several years, I love playing for the club and I am here.
“I’m settled and my family is settled so when I spoke to the manager initially and he said he wanted me to stay it was a no-brainer.”
Bell: We want to add quality
Jack was one of a number of Rangers players out of contract this summer and is the first to agree an extension.
Manager Michael Bell has already confirmed that striker Alfredo Morelos and winger Ryan Kent will leave Ibrox with some “difficult decisions” to be made about others.
“He’s been there 80-85 per cent of the time since I’ve arrived so he’s shown his fitness and Ryan is an integral part of the team,” he said. Sky Sports News.
“It was important to me that Ryan stayed and there is an option, if he does well next season, to extend for both sides.
“There are a few (goals) we’re talking about and just trying to get the squad together for next year.
“We have to make some tough decisions within the players and their future and you are looking to fill those positions.
“We’re losing big players all over the pitch and we’ve got a couple who will come in at some point and then the window doesn’t close until September 1.
“It’s been a fantastic season for Rangers and hopefully we can finish it on a high.
“There are signs we can go forward with some of the players we’ve got now but we want to add more quality in the summer.”
